Step-by-step instructions

Set up and assign a personalized email signature for an account in the Apple Mail app on macOS. You'll create the signature in Mail's Settings and choose which account uses it.

  1. Open the Apple Mail app so its main window is in front.
  2. In the menu bar at the top left, click "Mail".
  3. In the Mail menu, click "Settings...".
  4. At the top of the Settings window, click the "Signatures" tab.
  5. In the account list on the left, select the email account you want, then click the "+" (Add) button below the signatures column to create a new signature.
  6. Click the new signature in the middle column to select it, then type a name and edit its content in the panel on the right.
